Gliding will always take precedence over any other airfield activity.

-
Kite killers MUST be used at all times, it is also strongly advised that safety equipment is used and that the BBC safety guidelines are followed.
-
The airfield can be used on any day if there is no gliding activity. This includes NGC club days. Where possible the duty instructor must be consulted.

NGC recognizes the need for Child Protection under the Children Act 1989. To this end the S.A.F.E. (Safer Activities for Everyone) Policy and Procedures has been adopted.
Tibenham Airfield Briefing.
-
Although there are times that the airfield is not in use, aircraft / gliders may fly in therefore it is import to keep a good lookout at all times. This is especially important when approaching an intersection of runways.
-
Do not assume that landings by aircraft / gliders will be confined to the hard surfaces. They can and do land on grass.
-
Always be aware of the wind direction as an aircraft / glider will generally land into wind.
-
Do not leave vehicles parked in the middle of runways, always park on the side.
-
When on the airfield or driveways there is a 20mph speed limit for motor vehicles.
-
Be aware if a motor vehicle is taken airside it may not be covered by your insurance.
-
You are a member of NGC, therefore you are welcome to use the facilities of the club house (toilets, showers). There is a canteen which is generally open on NGC club days.
-
You may kite on any day when the airfield is not being used for flying, even on NGC club days. But remember that when flying operations commence the rules do apply.
